how do you change your short name?

i hit enter when installing my OS, and forgot to change my short name.

now it seems im stuck with a crapy name

"You can't change the short name for a user account after the account has been created. If you need to change the short name, you must delete the account and create a new user account with a new short name." ~ Help Viewer

It's kinda a pain, but that's the only way as far as I know.
