How do you develop on iphone?

I create web applications but I want to learn how to develop for the iPhone. Where should I read up on this and what do I have to learn?

real apps like Apollo etc

I started this thread yesterday but I didn't have much luck here. Farthest I got was installing the toolchain and decrypting the heavenly image but I'm having trouble compiling on my setup.

The instructions I see on the net are for toolchain version 4 but I installed version 5.
