Seems like a really simple question... I want to do a "virtual tour" of a house. QuickTime VR sounds like a great technology for it. So... how do I make one?

You would think Apple might say, but they are pretty ambiguous...

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/qtvr/
just says that you should use an authoring tool. And it kinda takes you to this list: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/resources/tools/qtvr.html

So I need to purchase one of those? Again, I want to make one QTVR movie. Is there any way to do so for less than $150? In any event, can someone recommend a package that will let me show VR room to someone... preferably the cheapest package (open source?!?).

Thanks!

Any Canon digital camera with 'stitch mode' will do 360 degree views very quickly and easily. If you want to do hot spots and links within the pictures that requires a more in depth solution.
