ios 15 adds the filesystem security features that macos has had for the past couple of years, which supposedly means that an ios 15 jailbreak will be a lot harder, even with a bootrom exploit like checkra1n, or some other exploit method. best to keep an older device on ios 14 around if you want to jailbreak.

Jailbreaking iOS 15

I don't think it's something to hold out for, especially not something to ever update to 15 for. It seems harder every year to jailbreak and IMO less reason now than 5-10 years ago.

people have said "jailbreaking is dead" every year for the last 10 years. i'm sure an ios 15 jailbreak will happen, just not immediately.

Exactly. It may not happen for newer devices or whatever but it’s likely to come on other devices on iOS 15. But I’m hoping it comes for all at some point. That’s why I’m not updating anything that came with what it already has
