Twenty some-odd years. I bought my first Mac in 2002 (OSX 10.2 Jaguar PowerMac G4) and had done research for years before (the release of OSX began my interest in earnest). Signed up 2008… only really started posting recently. Mainly to learn from others. I may seem smarter if I keep my mouth shut but I can only learn if I engage with others…

May 2008. No intent to rile any one. :) I love the MacOS, use my MBP for daily computer tasks, just not gaming, and I’m vested in iOS, iPad and iPhone. Ironically my PC today is better equipped to handle graphics and games, and that all boils down to $$, the $$$ nature of high end Macs and the fact that for games developers, the Mac is an after thought.

Since about 2019, but I joined the forum in 2022. Started with the technology forums, but have since slowly drifted to mainly posting in the Community section.

Well I joined in 2007, therefore around then. I used to subscribe to the various Macintosh magazines like many, however late 1980’s thru the late 1990’s till shut down I nearly drooled at getting this weekly at work via snail mail.

Innovation and change was truly happening much much faster than now.
So much of “today” is standing on so many shoulders of yesterday’s work.

I started following the page around 2004 when I got my first iPod. Then when I got my first own Mac, an iBook G4, I started spending more and more time here. Eventually I caved and created an account.

Ha - brilliant headline - apple fuzzy on scsi! I think we were all fuzzy on scsi, particularly when the clips pinged off. The UK MacWorld was required reading here particularly in the late 80s early 90s.

I think I was first on here early to mid 2000's but ended up having to re-register.

Oh MAN! I had a cluster with a tape library with robot that I had to switch from low-voltage differential SCSI to high-voltage differential SCSI in the mid-aughts. What a mess.

Truth!!
My original 128k Macintosh was actually upgraded not once but twice.
First time was 128k to MacPlus.
Second time was a 3rd party board to make it like a SE / 30.
That allowed me to spend even more $$$$’s on my 20MB external SCSI hard drive. I was the king of storage then.
