I just bought a used 2022 M2 Macbook Pro and it came with the charging brick and the USB C cable but its a rather short one (1m) so i figured id make a post to ask whether Apple opted to include a shorter cable with the 2022 M2 Macbook Pro's or whether the seller that i bought the Macbook Pro from gave me a shorter non-official third party USB C to USB C Cable.

Back in 2017 when i purchased a 13 inch Macbook Pro, the charging USB C cable that it came with was much longer so its dissapointing to see that apple is including a much shorter cable now

They weren’t braided on those.
Were they 1m or 2m in length? The one that i received with my used 2022 M2 Macbook Pro purchase is 1m non-braided.

6ft/2m in length, non braided.
Edit: 13MBP came with 6ft/2m, non braided.
14/16" MBP came with 6ft braided USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable.
I just reached out to the seller that sold me the Macbook and he assured me that the 1m USB C to USB C cable is the original cable that came with the 2022 13 inch M2 Macbook Pro. Not sure what to make of this situation. I can go ahead and order a 2m braided USB C to USB C cable from Apple to make sure i'm using a genuine Apple cable to power and charge the Macbook

Am I better off buying the original one or the woven one from Amazon? They are the same price
The woven one feels nicer and is more pliable. Both will work- you’re really overthinking this.
The one big advantage of USB-C is that cables are not proprietary. You need a cable that’ll support the power output the charger provides, so 67W or higher, but that’s really the only thing to be concerned about here.

Well between the two, I'd pick the woven. However, I'd personally just get a $10 2m cable from Anker + spare USB-C charger for about the same price, total.

I use the 2 m power cable... even if I have the 2 m USB C cable.
