How many iOS beta versions will there be?

Now that we have a general idea of how fast Apple is progressing with the beta's, I wonder how many beta versions you think we will have for iOS8?

As many as needed. ;)

Likely around 6 (+/- 1 or so).

99% sure we'll have at least 8 betas.

There have been only a few instances of an 8th beta before. Could happen, but the fact that it's so rare make your 99% proclamation a little unwarranted.

I'd say 6 or 7 would be the number, leaning towards 7.

iOS 2 and 5 did.

But yes, the majority of betas is within the 4-6 range.
I believe they count GM as a beta as well in that graph that is linked, which technically it isn't, so in that sense, even those only went up as far as beta 7 before GM.

It depends what progress Apple make.

I know that there are a LOT of bugs but I was reading a post in another thread and someone had filed around 45 bug reports and 38 were fixed.

Apple are making progress, fast.

I think we'll see six beta's.
