If I remember, it's $10 a month for access to the family share plan where it shares data with everything else.
For £70 I can get 12gb/m with nothing else to pay for 12 months.
Although I only have a wifi rMini so I will tether on the train to my work mobile should I need to.

Same here. Got on the unlimited with ATT with the original iPad. No contract just evergreen.
There was a thread running on this last early summer and I jumped on it. I believe it was meant to be a one time week promotion for new customers but a glitch in AT&T's system allowed the same customer to continue to order week after week at the same introductory price.
I kind of got burned out on ordering after about 200 weeks worth of purchases. There was speculation AT&T upon discovering their error would simply correct their mistake and refund purchasers but that wasn't the case. Although AT&T did quickly fix the glitch they allowed those who had made their purchases to keep them.
Still on my original at&t unlimited plan for $30 per month.
Likely been asked and answered before but I'll throw it out here anyway. Would tethering an iPad to an iPhone (as a hotspot)eat a lot more data than if the iPad were using the carrier data itself?
