I'm trying to copy my TM disk to another. That would need about a week for OS to function properly.
My mini's Boot ROM Version: 1731.100.130.0.0 (iBridge: 19.16.14243.0.0,0).
OS's sv is 8G9323.

Sadly, I upgraded the internal disk to Monterey since the support suggested that for me to enable to accept 3rd party kexts in recovery mode with external OS. Which of course didn't work.
(With their words: "Apple does not restrict installing OS to external drive, nor does Apple support it."
Naturally, because selling soldered ssd has a huge profit.)

Anybody had stability issues with mini2018 and experience on getting rid of them by installing a fresh copy of Mojave?
Or does the stability stay the same?

Are these disks USB 2.0?
Normally with USB 3.1 you should copy a TB in a few hours.
3.0.
TM is a different beast than your average copying job.
Hard links pointing hard links pointing...
In that 8TB drive there is 49 backups on about 1.5TB each.
Which means it's like copying 75TB of small files.

I do my copies with dd.
dd does not care of small files. It copies sectors.
