Whenever I use the volume buttons, it always defaults to my music volume, which I don't want. Is there seriously no way to change it? I had it at zero before the update and now I can't change it.

Did you try doing it from Settings rather than just pushing the volume up button? Maybe that's just changing the media volume not the actual ringtone volume.

See the highlighted area of the picture below. That should be toggled “ON”

i have mine off because I leave on silent mode all the time anyway

Oh. That's odd. Any reason Apple decided to turn that off when I upgraded to iOS 13?
