iPhone 12 mini How to get iPhone mini to show SPEAKER button during calls?

The only feature I hate about the iPhone mini is that I have to tap on the speaker button and then tap speaker from the list to switch to speakerphone during calls. This is really a hassle while driving. Does anyone know how to make the screen show only the speakerphone button instead of making you select which device you want to connect to (speaker, AirPods etc)?

I have a hard time believing Apple would be so sloppy with the call screen.

Why do I feel like it's the same on all the iPhones? That's how it is on my 13 Pro.
