how to get rid of the battery symbol?

on my new g5 (which is _not_ a powerbook), i have got the battery symbol in the top right corner (like on my g4 powerbook). obviously, it doesn't belong there, as there is no battery to be charched...

how can i get rid of it? thanks heeps.

Command-drag it off the menubar.
