I just fired up my 3rd gen iPod touch and want to install many old games on it that I have stored in iTunes ---- thousands of games (TouchArcade owner am I) and I see no app tab in iTunes under the device. I hear Apple somehow disable this feature??!! Reading here I can install an old version (no longer online) of iTunes to do it -- but is there no other way. This seems insane to me. I literally have thousands of games in iTunes -- most gone from App Store -- knowing this would be the case is why I stored them on the Mac. How can I install them on this device??

Any help appreciated. Ugh.

The alternate version of iTunes with app management support can be found at this link, I'm not 100% sure if it supports what you're trying to do though: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208079

Also, it's not compatible with Mojave.
