How to install Mac OS Lion in a Macbook Pro 2.33Ghz 2Gb ram HD with Tiger?

The complete specs of the machine:
https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2.33-15-specs.html

I am using the Mac Os Tiger (the same that came with the machine) in dual boot with Windows XP (boot camp).

I have had a lot of problems using Windows XP (yes, it has not support anymore).

So, I decided to install Windows 7 in my Macbook Pro.
After I had searched in google I could see it is possible to install Win 7 using Snow Leopard or Lion.

I DO NOT WANT TO UPDATE TO SNOW LEOPARD and then to LION.

I'd like to install LION direct.

I do not mind to format everything. Like a 'new machine'.

Is it possible?
If yes, how?

You can try to buy Lion off the online store then download it and create a USB installer, but I'm not sure it will work if you're still on 10.4:

https://support.apple.com/kb/SP629?locale=en_US

General requirements

  • Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
  • 2GB of memory
  • OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
  • 7GB of available space
  • Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
  • Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.

Yes, @Mr_Brightside_@

I read it could be possible. But I do not remember where I read it and how it can be done.

Basically I had to format the partitions using Lion. But I do not know if the sequence (Tiger > Snow L. > Lion) had something about drivers.

I could see an option to run Win 7 alone, but I haven't tested it yet.
http://lowendmac.com/2015/run-windows-on-your-mac-without-bootcamp/

There are two others threads here, too:
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/guide-install-windows-7-on-air-2015.1961618/
https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...most-fully-support-include-track-pad.1992139/

I could read they are not EASY. There are a lot of steps and the authors did not create to Macbook Pro 2.33 (2006).

At this time I want to format everything and install Lion + Win 7 (using boot camp).

Maybe others members could have ideas. Let's wait.

Tks!

I format the disk and make a clean install of the Lion. :)

Now I will try to install Win 7.

At least now we know that is possible to install Mac Os Lion direct.
