I earlier tried to Download an app, which went into the faded "downloading" symbol state on my home screen for a while before giving a need wifi connection to download message. However now the icon is ever present on my screen and still says loading with no option to delete.
even a reboot does not remove it, I can still log into the store and Download other apps and I wont have access to my home machine or wifi for a while.

Any ideas how to kill this icon?

yea im pretty sure the problem will be fixed by simply connecting to wifi or syncing the downloaded app from itunes, but dont have access to my pc untill alot later. No probs.

That has happened to me too with the same wifi message, but I downloaded the app with 3G and it took forever to finish loading, but it finally finished. I don't have wifi at home so I had no choice.
