You can change your SIM on T-Mobile website and it will give an option to scan the eSIM QR after you input your phone EID. Make sure you have either cellular or WiFi and access to your phone number since it will send a PIN code to your number before it can allow you to change SIM. This is also a good way to avoid the activation fee too.
