macOS How to open harddisk for reading??

Hi All,

I want to know how to open the disk for reading raw data. I know similar problem was faced by naveen. Kindly help... My harddisk is at /dev/disk0s3.
When I try to open it using : open("/dev/disk0s3",O_RDONLY); it says errno=9 that is bad file descriptor.

I have root previlege but still not able to open...with all read permissions..
but when i say diskutil info /dev/disk0s3 it says Read Only: No.....

PLz help...
