I have a 1.11 TB fusion drive. I wanted to partition it to install a 2nd Mac OS High Sierra on it dividing the Fusion Drive in half (at least the HD portion).
When I used disk utility to do this app froze, and I lost 1/2 of the drive, the new partition did not show up and the storage was lost.
I had to Command-R restore to erase the drive, and Time Machine to restore the drive back to 1.1 TB.
I do not want to do this again. It took hours for the Time Machine to restore EL Capitan.
What did I do wrong? This should be something simple, however, it seems lot's of folks have problems doing this with fusion drives.
