My band is working on an album. It's in bunch of WAV files in a folder on my Mac. I've never advertently played music on an iPhone (other than to play YouTube videos) Is there some way to do this? (I feel so old)

Macs and PCs sync with Apple devices in many cases. Check out Apple’s website for the how-to.

If your Mac is compatible all you need is to set up a sync with the Mac’s iTunes or Music app.

The traditional way was to import the music into iTunes, create a playlist, then sync the playlist to the iPhone either via a usb connection or via wireless iTunes sync.

If you have Notes syncing to iCloud on both your Mac and iPhone you can just drop them into a note on your Mac. That's the quick and easy way I do it when I want to hear a mix in my car. I usually use mp4 files but WAVs will work just fine.
