Hi all,

I came across an article about how to upgrade Android on an iPhone 3GS, to Marshmellow 6.0.

http://android-marshmallow60.net/tutorial/upgrade-update-apple-iphone-3gs/

How though, in 2016, do I install Android on my jailbroken 3GS in the first place? The guides I've found all date back to 2010 or 2013, and several I've tried haven't worked. (I'm happy to lose iOS and all data completely from the device)

Many thanks!

You don't. That looks like a completely generic article with the words iPhone 3GS pasted in. You don't get CWM recovery on an iPhone.

The attempts that were done back in the day used the iPhone 3G with Bootlace, OpeniBoot, and iDroid. It was functional-ish at best even then.
