hi

I am sure this has been answered, but I cannot find a solution.

I have a Mac Mini M1 and two displays.

1- works on USB-C
2- is old and only works on HDMI and a couple of older display ports.

So I have got both working the first 1 is connected with a USB-C cable and the second 1 is connected via HDMI.

So there is no problem as such, but how do I make the USB-C monitor the primary monitor. The Apple menu/Dock etc is all on the secondary display.

on the display options, you'll notice one of the screens has the menu bar on it, and the other doesnt. click and drag the menu bar to the other display, and voila ! (fun fact: this also works with macbooks and an external display :) )
