I love jump roping but am sure jump roping isn't a provided option within Apple Watches' activities.

Is there a recommended app or perhaps certain activity during a jump rope workout session?

It’s on mine called skipping rope. It’s because you Americans use the wrong name

There is a jump rope option in the activity app that I’ve used before ... but if you want something that’ll track your jumps, the YaoYao app is pretty good.

I purchased a jump rope on amazon last light and am looking forward to seeing a jump rope option when my Apple Watch comes in (once I order one).
aside from that, I just googled jump rope in the App Store and hoping for the best. I searched skipping rope in the App Store as you mentioned as well.

I think I just understood the confusion. Yes, there is an option in the workouts app on the watch, now that I finally have one in hand. I've downloaded some 3rd party apps including the YaoYao one recommended above so will begin testing each in the coming days.
