I've got an ATV2 jailbroken and running 4.4.4.

I am having some airplay issues (HBO go) and figure it is time to update to the newer firmware.

I thought I could just update the ATV and then rejailbreak, but when I go to the general -> update software menu, it says I have the most up to date firmware (4.4.4).

What should I do to update the firmware and maintain my jailbreak?

The most current version is only a tethered JB. I am not sure if you can pick what version to upgrade to, but I doubt it. If you have a Jb device you can download unrestrictpremium and it will let you airplay HBOGO.

My phone isn't jailbroken. I didn't realize the latest jailbreak was tethered. I guess I'll stick with what I have for now.
