hard to find out how to do that....cannot be very difficult...but not apparnet to me. that and imac problems with even acknowledging ext drives hooked up...seems harder than it should be ...both items-

Plug the drive in and it will typically auto-mount.
if it’s not there may be an incompatible file system or an issue with the drive.

Does it appear in Finder? What data is on the drive? From what system?
