I'm considering ditching Apple and buying a new Windows 11 machine with a 27 inches 4K monitor.

Would like to know other users experiences with 4K monitors. I know MacOS doesn't work well with 4K monitores due to its scaling. I believe in Windows there's no such issues?

Windows 11 does automatic UI scaling based on the resolution of your monitor. It's a much more elegant and streamlined solution than the Apple solution in my opinion. You won't have a problem.

And I don't have an issue with 27" 4K monitors in Mac OS either.

Do you scale the UI in MacOS with the 4K monitor? On my iMac 4K I scale down the resolution one point so everything is bigger.

It depends, I just set it to 100% scaling and 2560x1440. It looks fairly sharp and the font choice for the OS is consistent and not weird. But it is fine.

4k monitors work fine imo, I've had Dell 4k 27"s as my side monitors for both Mac & PC for years

4k Dell 27" usb-c monitor here. I use it with both my Mac and a Dell Windows laptop. Windows works just fine, and looks/scales better than macOS.

I have a 4k LG 32" and I would say that Windows has improved but is not equal to Mac. There are still times when the 150% scaling doesn't work on every app--mainly installers. This results in really tiny text. Mac never has this issue.
