How would BF: 2142 Run on a iMac or MacBook Pro

answer: go back to the previous page and do a search for "2142." You should turn up at LEAST 10 relevant posts...
Gives you 32 total, but not all of them are just about 2142.
The LESS OBNOXIOUS answer would be this: make sure u have 2 gigs of ram on the machine u'll run it on, and you should probably get the video card with 256 megs of VRAM also.
It'll run, but you'll probably have to turn down the majority of the settings.
Honestly though, as far as low settings go, the game looks pretty good.

Well I have a Macbook Pro Core Duo 2. I run all games in Vista via Bootcamp. BF2 runs at 2560x1600 without any slowdown, or low frame rates. I run Team Fortress 2 at 1920x1200 without low frame rates as well. BF 2142 is a breeze on the macbook Pro as well. The 8600m is a really fast chip for the notebooks.
I couldn't have been happier with my Macbook Pro purchase. I hook up my macbook to a 30'' Dell 3007 display, and use that as the main display. If you are using an External Monitor for gaming, you want to make sure that your laptop display is turned off, and the lid is closed. That is what I recommend.

i have a 20" white imac with 2 gigs of ram, and it plays like absolute crap on my computer. totally unplayable. i know this game is getting mixed reviews from everyone so maybe it will play better on your faster machine. but yeah that's my story. good luck if you buy it!
It depends on whether you will be playing on Windows via BootCamp or on BF2142 for Mac.
