yes I have this very old printer, yet as a I print around 25 sheets per year I try to hold out as long as possible with my trustworthy HP 840C Deskjet
Now that my new iMac has arrived I seem to run out of luck. After doing the Migration Assistant from my MacPro I noticed there were two entries for the HP, but as they seem to refer to the settings of my MacPro I deleted them from the Printer Configuration Window and tried to add a new entry, but no luck: I can not seemed to choose anything. I tried to install the Gutenprint driver, but that didn't seem to help either, although I have not a real idea how to install printers with that driver (I hoped that the printer driver would pop up in the Printer Configuration Window, but no luck).
Anyone knows how to resolve this or is it time to move on to a new printer?
