HomePod HP not playing news since 14.2 update

I have three Homepods, none of which have experienced any issues or problems like others have reported. Since the 14.2 update, none of them will play the news, either asking directly or asking for daily update. It understands the command, but then just won’t play. It will even understand a command to change radio stations but with the same result.
I have tried restarting both the HomePod and my router but has not helped. I have also tried turning off recognize my voice and turning back on.
The same command to siri on my phone works fine.

Any recommendations?

I was afraid too do a full reset, but that worked . Thank you!
