Just take the lower MBP model for instance, now you can get one for only $1699! That's a $300 discount off normal retail! Don't these things normally go at $1899 refurb?

I think a speed bump is very soon :)

I'm fairly sure that the 2ghz option wasn't $1699. That was the 1.83ghz option.

Those are such great deals now :( It makes me sad that my laptop has gone down in value so much.

Same price since early or middle of July. I bought my refurb for $1699 almost 2 months ago.

Which means if you are really willing to wait huge discounts can be had for refurb C2D MBPs... :eek:

Back to the original topic, if you really want to be a conspiracy theorist, on the apple store for education, the prices were just removed about an hour ago from the store listing for MacBook's and MacBook Pros, but are still listed if you enter the page for the specific item...
