Hey Friends,
I had to change offices in my house to a room that doesn't have a connection for our cable modem. This eliminated the possibility of hard wiring to the router and the wifi network was only hitting about 80Mbps, fine for most, but not for my work.
I upgraded to a mesh system (arris surfboard max pro) and saw an improvement to about 300 Mbps, but its less than half of what I was getting when using ethernet. I decided to try running an Ethernet cable to the well placed satellite mesh router, and that did the trick! I'm now seeing about 850mbps, not quite what I was getting, but perfectly acceptable. While its technically not wireless to the computer, it is wireless between rooms. I'll take it!
Thought Id share the solution with you guys. Happy downloading!
