Hi everyone,

I need an iPod for various reasons. Reasons that won't matter me going into because at the end of the day it doesn't matter. I'm looking for a classic 7 gen or similar due to their high capacity. I would like it to be preferably new but one in good condition would be ok too. I have checked on eBay, Amazon and Craigslist but they want an arm and a leg for them, some are even $500 bucks!!!!

If you guys know any other sources please let me know below

thanks in advance.

Check your local Gamestop. I got mine there a few years ago (before they were discontinued) in near new condition for $200. Each one has different stock.

Here's a link to the Gen 7 160GB (the thin one) Silver for $189 ... they don't have any online, but the store locator may show some in your area. http://www.gamestop.com/ipod/mp3/ipod-classicr-gen-7-160gb-silver-gamestop-premium-refurbished/98308

A Gen 6 160GB (the thick one) is $129 (http://www.gamestop.com/ipod/mp3/ipod-classicr-gen-6-160gb-black-gamestop-premium-refurbished/98313) if you can find one. The only differences are the thickness, and the Gen 7 has Genius built in.

Parts for the 7G Classics are easily and cheaply available, so what that means is, you can buy a beat up one and restore it with new faceplate, backplate, wheel, etc and make it look flawless.
