I need help with bluetooth

I am trying to transfer info. from my imac (10.5.8) to my macbook (10.6.8) via bluetooth and cannot transfer anything. My macbook only wants to access the itunes program in the imac. Is it possible to transfer other items with these older versions of mac OS?
