I am the original owner of this 8TB, 10-core 2020 iMac, that was returned in December, and I think someone bought my returned iMac recently, because right now it is showing a new location on my iCloud account. (Since it is still connected to my returned iMac). I actually used this iMac for months before returning. (Currently discussing this with law enforcement and also with Apple.)

Here, is when I first bought this iMac.

Unless I'm mistaken, the Apple refurb store should have completely wiped the drive, therefore eliminating any trace to your iCloud account.

Either way, so what? Somebody bought the computer you returned! Alert the media!
The person who bought it is going to have a nasty surprise when they try to set it up if the firmware is still locked to the old iCloud account.

As someone who as purchased refurbed products in the past. I think the OP should contact Apple, apparently something is wrong here. Apple needs to be made aware that there is a problem with their return workflow.

Hmmm....something doesn't seem right....I would imagine Apple would make the device "like-new" before selling it again...not just open the box, look at it, close the box, then ship it to new customer lol. But I wouldn't know for sure either way
