Exactly.
All the leaks/rumors suggest we're getting a phone that has the closest form factor to that 5/5S/SE since those phones originally launched. Won't look exactly the same for technical reasons anyway like the additional camera lenses, screen size etc.
I agree though OP, I'd love to see a (maybe fractionally bigger) 5/5S/SE shaped phone, but without a home button and almost bezel free like the X/XS/11 Pro. That would be the perfect phone IMO. Pocketable, can be comfortably used one-handed but has the clarity of an OLED screen and no home button. I'd queue up overnight again for the first time in years.
Oh, and for them to bring back the old 'Black & Slate' colour option from the iPhone 5. Best colour iPhone ever.
