In iBank for Mac, if your bank supports it, you can use "Direct Download" to download transactions directly from your bank. This contrasts with iBank's "Direct Access," which is a subscription feature to download transactions from a large number of banks. Direct Download doesn't cost money, while Direct Access does.

On the iPad, I only see the Direct Access option. Am I missing something, or don't they offer Direct Download on the iPad?

iBank support has confirmed that Direct Download isn't available on iOS. Bummer for those uncomfortable with sending their banking login and password through a third party service.
