Hi all,

I thought my iBook battery was messed up because it only tends to lastt 30 mins if im lucky, and my power seetings are tuned!

But then I got Coconut and checked my battery capacity and it says its 89%, how does that work? why does my iBook go to sleep so fast?

Apparently its had 120 loadcycles (its 2nd hand btw), any ideas what going on here?

Can i ask about the title of this thread? What the heck does it mean?

Title - i don't know erally, my battery is in an ibook, its acting a bit unusually, perhaps mentally.

I mean it was on 84% battery, then the computer went into sleep mode, then i plugged it into the wall and it displayed 0% battery. is that understandable now?

"calibrate", well i often charge it up and then unplug it, at which point it dies anywhere between 85 and 70%, is that calibrating it?

Should I reset the PRAM or the PMU before trying to recalibrate it?

or am I fighting a loosing battle here and should consider a 3rd party battery off ebay?
