I'm using the iCloud for Windows that you get from the Microsoft App Store (though the older version has the same problem). As far as I can tell it won't download 4K videos at all. Instead it downloads 720p. What's worse is that 1440p (HD) videos will download at 720p on the 11.x version of iCloud for Windows. The old version downloaded those in full resolution, so the new app is actually worse.
I know you can download the videos from the iCloud web site, in the "hidden" download menu, but it's more convenient to use the iCloud For Windows application.
Does anyone know how to get iCloud for Windows 11.x to download full resolution videos?
