Is there a calculation, percentage or reference to say how much space your iCloud Photo library will take in space on an iOS device?

It's just my library has now 30'000 photos and videos in and takes up 6Gb currently on my iPhone. I have full downloaded on iMac and takes about 600Gb.

I'm thinking of enabling it on my iPad Pro but how much will it take storage wise? Same, more? I know being optimised that it only downloads full resolution photo or video when needed, is this correct?

If so my plan though is to start organising and basic editing on my iPad as use that more than my iMac, but worried on space would use on iPad.

What happens does it just delete full resolution ones I've downloaded when haven't used in a while or something? I'm just wondering if it would use all the free space it could for the iCloud photo library, then apps wouldn't install etc?

Anyone use iCloud photo library on their iPad give me their experience please?

Thanks
