Just joining this tread as I have the same issue, Mac Pro, iMac Pros, MacBook, iPhone 15 all syncing, but iPad Pro stuck, I have wiped it and reinstalled from back up and the problem is still there. Conisidering setting it up as a new iPad next.

You may wanna contact an Apple specialist and getting a ticket to have your problem looked at. I’m not sure if turning off iCloud photo on all devices for awhile and turning it back on (I waited 30 days)would help, but it did the trick for me.

I can confirm the 17.2 RC fixed the sync issue of Photos. So, again, Apple has solved the problem in the background in a sneaky way, but it isn't mentioned anywhere.

Installed 17.2 today. Finally fixed this annoying bug. So happy to finally have a normal phone again.

Same here, I don't know if they have released something for iOS16... Because I have the same issue in a iPhone X

I wanted to throw this out to everyone to see if they are having issues with iCloud photo syncing with their idevices. The situation I am having is that photos I take either from my iPhone 15 Pro or iPad Pro 12.9 are not syncing with each other. This all started when I upgraded from iPhone 13 Pro Max to iPhone 15 Pro last Saturday (September 23rd). The good thing is that photos from either device are uploaded to iCloud.com, but are not being sent back down. Except, they are showing on AppleTV for some reason, but not iPhone or iPad. I have talked to an Apple Specialist to trouble shoot the problem, but alas it’s been sent to Apple engineers since no resolution has been resolved. Any suggestions are welcomed.
Here is a little twist, and I might be totally wrong, but if the problem is the iOS version in my case 17.4. - why is the sync working brilliantly with my iPhone 14 and not iPhone 13 Pro Max, which both run with the same UK iCloud and have both the exactly same operating system? I suspect it to be a hardware issue, but this obviously would be more costly to replace under warranty than to state it is a little software / operating system glitch which they are going to fix VERY soon... I suspect it to miraculously go on and on and on (until the warranty expires?) .........? And the fact that you ht5pilot say it started happening when you switched phones ie. hardware also makes me think it could be down to hardware or at least hardware and software / operating system compatibility?

Here is what I am planning to put into a separate post: My iPhone does not sync the photos into iCloud. Yesterday I checked with the Apple Service Centre sharing my iPhone screen and the Apple Service Centre confirmed that everything is set up properly, and I also have enough storage. They will call me back tomorrow, Sunday 21rst April 2024, as they said that this is a glitch with the software which many users encounter. My iCloud is English and I bought the phone in Spain. The phone in question which does not sync, is an iPhone 13 Pro Max with one TB of storage. It has an English physical SIM card and a Spanish e-SIM. I have another phone, which I bought in the UK and runs with the same iCloud and operating system, and this does sync with my iCloud photos. Does anybody have had similar problem?
