As some of you might know, using a Safari extension may require permissions for webpage contents and browsing history. In Settings it states that it “can read and alter sensitive information on webpages, including passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards, and see your browsing history.”

With iCloud Private Relay, in Settings it states it “hides your IP address and browsing activity in Safari and protects your unencrypted internet traffic so that no one—including Apple—can see both who you are and what sites you’re visiting.”

Taking that into account, does iCloud Private Relay prevent Safari extensions from viewing the previously mentioned information?

They have nothing to do with each other. IP relay prevents your ISP from knowing which website you are visiting and the website from knowing your IP address.

Safari extensions don’t know about either of those. All they can see is the contents of the web page (if you allow that).
