(Apologies if this isn't in the right section - wasn't sure where to put it. A mod can move it if they so choose)
I recently began having problems using iCloud Drive on a fully patched/updated W11 system. I right click on the iCloud widget in the system tray, enter my Apple ID & Password, then the six digit verification code that inevitably pops up. After a few seconds though, I always get one of two errors:
I've tried:
-Going to 'Installed Applications' and Repairing iCloud Drive
-Going to 'Installed Applications' and Resetting iCloud Drive
-Uninstalling/Reinstalling the app entirely
-Adding it (and iTunes) as an exception in BitDefender (Free version - don't use the firewall with this or Windows Defender)
-Turning off the 'Automatically Detect Proxy Settings' setting
-Making sure the 'Automatically Set Date/Time' setting is on
I read somewhere where someone disabled 2FA on their apple account, then uninstalled iCloud, rebooted, reinstalled and then got things working again, but I haven't tried that yet. Nor have I checked my hosts file.
