So after weeks of waiting to see what is announced, holding back from buying an iBook, I'm now off to buy one this morning. I noticed on the US Apple site that if you buy an iBook on or after 10th Jan which has iLife 05, you can upgrade to 06 for $9.95.....

"If you've purchased a qualifying computer, Apple would like to give you the opportunity to upgrade to iLife ’06 for US$9.95.* Product will begin shipping in January, 2006 for English and in February 2006 for localized versions."

But it's only available in the US. Does anyone know if this is standard practice or will the UK follow soon? I'd rather have all the latest software on my new iBook.

Hopefully it will be in my hands in less than 4 hours!! How exciting.
