Hello there. I had a cheap 2006 iMac which was collecting dust. As much as I like keeping old hardware alive this one is kind of in between things: Too old for recent software yet too new to be collectible. Maybe this changes in a few years but even installing Linux on it gave me headaches. Plus the harddrive and dvd drive were on the brink.
Long story short I ordered a driver board for LTM220M1-L01 from China which is still in shipping. Has anyone here done this before?
I am asking myself where I'd put the driver board which looks something like this.
Also how to make the ports accessible from the outside? I'd need to cut into the back of the iMac.
