iMac 2013 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4 GB Didn't get Metal 2?

I have an iMac 2013 with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4 GB graphics card. When I look at System Information I see the following under graphics "Supported, feature set OSX_GPUFamily1 v2"

I was under the impression that all Macs that supported Metal would get Metal 2 which is OSX_GPUFamily1 v3

According to this article your Mac supports Metal 2:
