Hi,

Very soon, I will getting an imac (20") and I am planning later on to connect it to one of those HTIB (home theater in a box) through the optical output and to a LCD tv.

What are the main things I should look for in a LCD/plasma tv to be able to connect it to the mac? Is there a optimun screen size or resolution? (I am planning on a 30" screen) What is the best connection? What ports should I look for in the TV?

Thanks.

A DVI connection would be your best bet. Aside from that, you're going to have to get someone else around here to advise you about HD resolutions...I know there's 720i/p and 1080i/p, but I don't know if you typically find 1080 on 30" screens or not.
