My brother is burning CD of stuff on his iTunes for camp(he won't bring his iPod) when he presses ''burn" in iTunes sometimes he gets this message(see picture I added)

Anyone know what this mean? any way to fix it or is it just an old iMac's SuperDrive dying?

zap pram.
clean the head.
make sure firmware is up to date.
check the log files in console under the utility directory (leave it open when you try to burn)
try different media, apple media or memorx is what apple tech support will tell you to try.
try different media at different burn speed (go for 12x).
buy a new drive.
