Hello, I wanted to know if it is a good idea to install High Sierra in a mid 2010 3.2GGHz iMac. I installed up to 12GB RAM and right now its working great with sierra, but maybe the system requirements will set the bar up higher and my iMac will be slower, what do you recommend.

Ill upload my specs here, usually what I do is mail, browsing, text processing and excel worksheets. Some days I do use Adobe software such as Illustrator.

let me know,

Dunno about your 2010 Core i3 dual-core 3.2 GHz, but on my 2010 Core i7 quad-core 2.93 GHz, High Sierra runs about the same speed as Sierra. My machine also has 12 GB.

I do browsing, mail, MS Office, Photos, light Adobe Photoshop, and a few other things including occasionally encoding video. (Mind you I do all of that now on a 2017 Core i5 iMac.)
