imac or macbook

I thought about selling my current iMac and getting a MacBook Pro but instead I chose to keep it. I will eventually get a MacBook Pro, but not now. I'll wait until later models come.
If I had to get either one (Intel), I'd choose the iMac with the Intel processor. For some reason, it just gives me a feeling of being safer & more stable.
I still haven't played with either, this is just gut instinct.
