Okay... this is not me trying to get out of a Panther purchase!
I ordered a copy of Panther from a well-known reseller, and didn't realize till I stuck the DVD into the PowerMac G5 that they sent me an iMac install set. I haven't installed anything yet as I'm having a hard time dealing with some permissions issues (btw, will it really be horrible if I upgrade with some issues still lurking? they won't go away!)
So I'm not sure what to do: should I just use the iMac install disks, or complain to the reseller? This is my mom's computer and I'm trying to get it all set up for her (she doesn't know much about Macs or computers in general). I definitely don't want any problems down the road.
