iMac screen question

Can i hook up my pc via DVI to a iMac and switch between the apple and my PC? Or i can only use the dvi to extend to another monitor? I've used 1 monitor for 2 computer in the past, and im wondering if the iMac sorta works as a monitor.

No the iMac can't be used as a monitor for another computer.
